About Project

CurrenSwap is an exchange app that offers users not only to keep different currencies in one place, but also to conveniently convert them.

The main designer task is to create an application that meets the needs of users for storing and exchanging currency. The priority is the minimum number of screens/clicks, ease of use and transparency of actions.

Determining the direction of the project

The field of finance has inexhaustible potential - you can always come up with something new and useful for users. Considering the realities of life, when each person has several currencies in circulation (he receives a salary in one currency, the second currency is needed to live in another country, the third is for travel) and they are constantly converted between each other, exchange applications will always be the most relevant and convenient way to manage with your finances.

Jobs-to-be-Done, User Scenarios

The next step is to determine the needs of users, for what life situations they use converters and what inconveniences they encounter. This can be easily done through JTBD and subsequent scripting. I conducted several interviews with potential users and formatted the results as Job Stories.

Next, a hypothesis was formulated on how the product should work in order to be useful and solve user problems: when a certain exchange rate is reached, funds can be transferred automatically.

Based on this hypothesis, scenarios were developed and the necessary screens for the application were determined. While working through the scenarios, several potential user problems were also discovered and several new useful ideas were generated accordingly.
